About Us

Our Story

In September of 2008, our Founder, Shawn Hesketh, created the original ‘WordPress 101’ video tutorial series, which he initially envisioned as a resource for his own clients. In the decade since, WP101.com has become one of the most popular WordPress tutorial sites in the world, and the WordPress 101 video tutorials have helped more than two million beginners learn how to use WordPress to create and manage their own website.

In addition to the ‘WordPress 101’ video series, Shawn has also expanded the course library to include video tutorials for popular WordPress plugins like WooCommerce, Jetpack, Yoast SEO, Ninja Forms, and others.

Over the past ten years, Shawn’s created custom screencast tutorials and promo videos for some of the most notable companies in the WordPress industry, including Automattic, GoDaddy, Liquid Web, Pressable, Namecheap, Crowd Favorite, and many others.

But we’d like to do even more.

New and exciting opportunities to collaborate continue to roll in. So, just a few months ago, Shawn launched 101Videos, and invited a couple of seriously talented online educators to join him in this new venture.
